Sponsorships can bring about a big change for the sponsors and the sponsee.  A successful sponsorship provides mutual benefit where a sponsor gives financing or in-kind services or product to a person or organization in return for promotion or other perks. Whether it’s sponsoring events, influencers, or even athletes, sponsorships are valuable partnerships that fuel success. Without the resources and support of sponsors, these events, influencers, and athletes would find it difficult to achieve their goals. 

Here are the basic steps to securing sponsorship:

  1. Identify potential sponsors who meet the criteria of your valued and target audience. 

  2. Research their sponsorship criteria and contact information.

  3. Create a transfixing sponsorship proposal highlighting the benefits for both parties. It should showcase your special value proposition, reach, audience, and the ways you can promote the sponsor.

  4. Schedule and have a conference with the sponsor to discuss the value of the sponsorship and negotiate terms. 

  5. Finalize an agreement.
