The Gaming Community

Kids love it, teens are addicted to it, and adults use it as an escape from life and their problems. Gaming is everywhere!

The gaming community has so many nuances.  It can be very nice or very aggressive depending on the game. Some communities have a lot of rivalry which can go beyond the screen into in-person disagreements. Despite that, the gaming community is a beautiful place and experience because of the endless friends you can make and the interactions that can make you a better person outside of a screen.

The gaming community shows you so many different personalities worldwide and educates you about people, different cultures, and sometimes religion if you interact with enough people in the community. The gaming community can even educate your children on how to know what kind of people are good for them and can also get them comfortable with letting go of people they know aren’t good for them. Therefore, gaming can provide a better mindset for the child if the child is getting bullied or getting trashed talk because they would learn how to handle themselves.

The beauty of gaming is that you don’t have to be in one community of a game. You can experience as many communities as you want and no one will bash you for switching games. Being part of a community also helps you learn how to deal with a group of people. It can increase vocabulary or speech because of the constant talking to multiple people. Just being in a community where you feel heard and not alone because you’ll always be surrounded by people is an amazing feeling. Just as much as we are having fun, we are getting educated about the real world and taking in skills that we can use. The games themselves give us obstacles and make us think of creative ways to beat the mission and that alone gives children problem-solving skills. Also, it makes them learn how to deal with being frustrated and overcome their emotions to get the job done.

Benefits To Gaming

  1. A lot of parents make the mistake of thinking that gaming wastes your time and energy and is something that you won’t use as an adult. But, it is factually proven that gaming improves hand-eye coordination, teaches dedication, teaches teamwork, improves memory, enhances creativity, and promotes concentration.  All of those skills are desirable for developing high-quality workforces.

  2. Gaming has also changed the lives of so many because it allows us to connect with others that we wouldn’t be able to otherwise. Sometimes people just get on the game to relax and talk with their friends, because for some people competition is their only source of communication.

  3. Gaming is a way people can express themselves and get rid of stress because they can yell and say whatever they want, to an extent, but won’t get punished for it.

  4.  Gaming is great for a child's brain development because they are forced to be creative and think about how to beat a level to continue the game.

Careers In Gaming

Gaming is one of the biggest money-making businesses in the world. In https://headphonesaddict.com/esports-gamer-statistics/ they proved that Gaming professionals make a really good amount of income averaging 12k-184k yearly if they make it to competitions. Other benefits are the flexibility of working on your own time and moving at your own pace giving you the freedom of being able to take vacations. Gaming is also one of the highly loved jobs because, at the end of the day, the person can do what they love and get paid for it.

But there are a lot of different ways to make money as a gamer besides being a professional gamer. You can become a content creator. Content creators are not necessarily the best at playing the game but they contribute a lot of personality into their streams. People love to watch that because the content is funny and the content creators interact a lot with their viewers. Content creators usually gain their income from different sources. They can get paid by the platform they stream through Youtube subscriptions or donations. If they get more famous then they can gain sponsorships. There have been content creators that have been able to get new houses for themselves and their families due to their overwhelming fanbase support.

Most kids fall in love with this career because they see that their, favorite streamer is doing what they love and making money from it. They also know how hard it is to get to that level and some young kids have made it to that level and become inspirations to everyone else. Realistically speaking this career is hard to achieve because there are a lot of factors, to being successful in this field. To be successful in this career you have to be above average in the game you choose, be very consistent, learn how to advertise yourself to the world and make yourself known, and many more factors. But even through all those obstacles the gaming community believes that being able to do what they love as a job would be the best thing to happen to them.

Support Gaming

Overall gaming and the gaming communities are things you should let your child experience but with reasonable control over how much they are gaming in balance with everything else in their life so they are not overly addicted. They will develop good habits and skills they can use in the future.

Gaming may give them opportunities that can change their lives completely around to where maybe one day they can be successful and do the same to others who aren’t as fortunate.

If you, as a parent, support your child in their gaming endeavors, not only will you gain their trust more but you’ll be able to build a stronger connection with your child.  That connection would last you way farther than his gaming experience just because they knew you were there for them when they needed your support.
